This is just a small sample of plain navy’s designs ~ I would be happy to send more images. All our workshops are relaxed, informal and hopefully enjoyable events ~ I would be very happy to visit your Quilt Group for a half-day or full day workshop.
The ABC workshops
These are usually held in local Village Halls, are designed to cover the main basics of patchwork and quilting, in five sessions over ten weeks. They culminate in a finished, small quilt that incorporates the techniques of rotary cutting and piecing, hand applique, sashing, binding and hand quilting. The idea of having a fortnight between sessions is that we should all be able to move forward together and make the quilt in a similar time frame, completing each stage in the two weeks.
The cost of the course, (five, 2-hour sessions) is £60, I provide homemade refreshments to keep us going! Places are limited
If you wish to use your own fabrics you will need at least 7 pieces approx 18”x 20” and a piece of calico/plain fabric approx 1/2m, or I have a kit, that includes what you need to make up the quilt top and costs £25.
You will need to bring a small sewing kit ~ needles, scissors, thread, pencils etc. We have some sewing machines for your use or you are welcome to bring your own machine if preferred.
