Block of the Month
1What will we make?
I now have four Block of the Month Projects, all work in a similar way. The Countryside Quilt(Pictured right) is a quilt measuring approximately 56” x 64”. Comprising of 6 blocks with borders and spacing blocks, the quilt employs a variety of techniques. The main blocks are appliquéd, instructions are available for both needle-turn appliqué and raw edge appliqué, this can be done by hand or on a machine. You will also do foundation piecing on paper as well as piecing the spacing blocks.
How does it work?
Every month you will receive the pattern, instructions and fabrics to make one of the 6 blocks that make the quilt. The seventh month you will receive instructions and fabrics to make the borders and the spacing blocks.
What does it cost?
Each block cost £17.50, plus £2.50 post and packaging if you would like me to post it to you. When you join the Club you will be asked to pay 2 instalments, and then £17.50 each month, except for the seventh month.
Which quilts are available?
The Countryside Quilt, Best in Show, the strandline, Chalk Hill Horses and The Winter Hare.
Are there any workshops?
Yes, each month I will be running a workshop at Thornton Le Beans village hall, this will concentrate on the current months block but will also be available if you have any problems ~ with the sewing, that is! This three hour session will cost £12.50 and includes our homemade refreshments.
